However, there is actually a very wide array of career opportunities for those who want to take up health care without necessarily going through the long years of intensive study required to become even a general practitioner type of doctor, much less a specialist. Here are some of the other types of jobs available in the health care industry that you may want to look into.


Health Care
If you want to spend your life helping people live better lives, then you should consider applying for health care jobs. You don’t have to go to college or study for seven years and become a doctor to help other people. There are jobs that are as important, and require less time in school. The wages and hours in health care vary, but the basic fundamentals are the same. There are people who are ill and they need somebody to take care of them.

Physical Therapist - as a physical therapist, your main job description is all about helping people who have physical motor impairments for one reason or another. It can range from teaching someone just recently crippled in the leg to walk again, to assisting a man with a broken shoulder learn to use his arm. You can also find health care jobs to care for sick people if you have administrative skills. Even if you are not personally involved in helping someone get well, your skills can help keep things running smoothly so more people can be helped.


Dietologist - this is an often overlooked area of health care jobs that is vital despite it's lack of acclaim. Dieticians help analyze the eating habits of their patients and recommend the healthiest possible eating habits for them. On a light note, dietitians most commonly see patients whose main problems are either obesity or being underweight. . Most states require them to have some sort of basic training and be licensed before administering care to patients. The regulations vary from state to state.


In childhood, we learned the value of playing outside the rules once in awhile to achieve the objectives we wanted. I did. Our family version of Monopoly included IOU sheets. Mom invented them so she and all of my siblings could stay in the game and play as long as we wanted (allowing her to keep us occupied and together where she could see us)-her desired objective at the time.

The job duties of the home health care aid are very similar to the duties performed by a nursing assistant in a hospital setting. Their responsible is helping the patient accomplish his activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and ambulating. They may work a full 8 to 12 hours at one patient's house and may even return to the same patient every day. Other aides are more mobile and may visit several patients in one day and have different patients from day to day.
